If the President plans to use the existing House and Senate bills as a starting point for next week’s health care summit with Republican leaders next week, where do you think reform will end up?  According to recent zogby polls the Americans want Congress to start the health care debate over from scratch.

Democrats are facing the reality that continuing their ambitious politically risky bills and having nothing to show for it could result in disaster in November elections. Congressional leaders say they have no clear viable solution to pass the existing health-care reform bills at the present time.  See AP article

Later today the WHO (The World Health Organization) will release a 10 year study regarding cell phones and cancer.

The AP reported yesterday that President Obama has declared H1N1 a National emergency.  ”The declaration, signed Friday night and announced Saturday, comes with the disease more prevalent than ever in the country and production delays undercutting the government’s initial, optimistic estimates that as many as 120 million doses of the vaccine could be available by mid-October”.

New York State backed off their mandate yesterday (requiring all New York Healthcare workers to receive H1N1  vaccine or lose their JOB) under the cover of a vaccine shortage.

Vaccine maker Sanofi Pasteur said Wednesday that Children under 10 are likely to need2 swine flu vaccine doses.
